Balancing financial responsibilities and social impact, while coordinating multi-stakeholders’ interests (investors, employees, regulators, clients, beneficiaries, and more), is challenging to say the least.  Good governance for social entrepreneurs requires it.  But what is “good governance” really,  does that answer differ for social entrepreneurs, and how can I make sure I practice it?  In this three part series, we will provide you with an overview and tips for what to watch and how to cope. In the first webinar, Barb Krause, Executive Fellow with the Center for Science, Technology and Society, Content Lead Mentor with the GSBI Accelerator, and social venture attorney, with more than 10 years experience representing entrepreneurs from all parts of the world, provides an overview of good governance from several perspectives, including entity structure, risk management, mission, financial reporting and operational transparency, using case studies to illustrate unique challenges facing social entrepreneurs and innovative ways they have dealt with them.
